sprinkled throughout the yard. Rudbeckia triloba plants descend from one originally growing along the Philadelphia mainline.  My brother gardened there in grad school.  I never know where this dainty cousin of Maryland's state flower will pop up. The purple wands are Verbena-on-a-Stick.
